More favourite artists of an artist!

Last week I went to the Affordable Art Fair and was thrilled to get to see some of my favourite artists work in real life. As much as I love instagram, nothing quite prepares you for the power or emotion of seeing work you love up close and personal.

So, I've been inspired to continue on with this series, that no one asked for. If for nothing else, at least I will have a record of my favourites to look back on!

Richard Musgrave Evans (@richard_musgrave_evans): An Australian en plein air painter, whose capture of light, and water especially, is incredible. He uses a palette knife and you can check out his youtube videos if you want to see how he uses it! I'm extremely lucky to have a couple of his originals thanks to a big studio sale he did a couple years back, they make me very happy!

Rebecca Tucker (@rebeccatuckerpaintings): One of the artists whose work I was excited to see at the affordable art fair and I was not disappointed. The paintings I saw were of palms in the Kew Gardens galsshouse, which are two of my favourite things right there, so unsurprisingly I loved them. Seeing the layers and the detail, how the light looks on the work, it was gorgeous!

Eva Ray (@evaraystudio): Another artist I love, who was exhibiting with local gallery The Art Buyer. As Eva uses oil sticks and pastels to create her distinctive landscapes and florals, her work has beautiful texture and the colour palettes are spot on. One day, one day...I will own one.

Right, another three there, probably got about another six to come!
