Buying art for kids - why art is the best present
Share
Art is a tricky present, it’s subjective and can be expensive, but you know who always loves a fun, colourful picture? KIDS!
As well as just being gorgeous to look at everyday, for a child, being given a piece of art feels personal, grown-up and is the gift that keeps on giving.
I still have pictures given to me as a child, that I’ve treasured with real sentimentality, and I hope my daughter feels the same about the pieces that she has.
I believe that if you shower your kids with creativity, and get their eyes excited, you open the door to their own self expression. Let them see that art can be anything and that they can use it as a tool themselves. Send them messages through what they see on their walls every day, and they’ll soak up a confidence that will hopefully last a lifetime!
So, for thoughtful, affordable art gifts for the children in your life, here are my top 5 picks from Thursday Arts Club:
- Walk your own path, by Tropical Scandinavia
- Tiny toys, by Face
- Self care club blanket/ wall hanging, by Tropical Scandinivia
- Balance, by Tropical Scandinavia
- The protector, by Tropical Scandinavia
I hope you find something they will love forever!
And don’t forget, for the perfect gift, you can always commission a piece. Whether it be their favourite toy, food or animal, I love to create a treasured time capsule of what your kid, niece, nephew or godchild loves right now.
